勇士與小牛之戰除了看柯瑞兄弟對決，還有杜蘭特能否追上喬丹！杜蘭特昨拿28分、10籃板及4助攻，除了前7次出手全進，展現火燙手感，更是他連續第72場比賽得分破20，正式追平「飛人」喬丹，並列史上第4長紀錄。
靠著杜蘭特雙十演出，以及全隊三分球投33中17的凶猛外線，勇士昨以116比95輕取陣容殘缺不全的小牛，柯瑞兄弟的本季首次先發對決，也由哥哥史蒂芬拿下24分、6助攻與3籃板，壓過弟弟塞斯的10分、9助攻。
杜蘭特下個追逐目標是「大O」奧斯卡羅伯生，他曾連續79場比賽得分破20，史上第1與第2長紀錄保持者是同一人，也就是傳奇球星張伯倫，他生涯曾經連續126與92場比賽得分破20，杜蘭特想要追上張伯倫難度不小。
不過杜蘭特逐漸展現融入勇士隊形模樣，賽前平均可拿28.9分、7.3籃板與3.6助攻的他，整體表現跟上季相差不多，甚至本季平均得分還比上季28.2分還高，可見杜蘭特開始找到自己在勇士的定位，也跟新隊友合作越來越有默契。
